Last November 2024, two new students began their internships with us, Cristina Perosanz and Tom Chapman, who became part of our interactive narrative team.
The initial period was 3 months but we have finally extended it for a few more months to make the most of all the learning that may arise from our collaboration.
Cristina
Cristina has a Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Rovira i Virgili University and is part of the Itinerary for Narrators: Novels of the Escola d’Scriptura de l’Ateneu Barcelonès. He is currently studying the Master’s Degree in Script at the FX Animation 3D & Film School. Cristina began her internship on November 4, 2024 and after extending it for three more months, she will finish it on April 29.

Cristina has been able to make studies and internships compatible because being in the Master’s Final Project phase, she no longer had class. Its methodology for combining studies and work is as follows:
- Make a list of the day’s tasks and organize them into work blocks using the Pomodoro Method and alternating the duration of these work blocks according to need, urgency, and the energy of that day. He usually works in a 25/5 format alternating with a 50/10 format.
- Do not consider the session over until he finishes everything on the list.
- Once finished, he does not do anything else related to work or academics until the next day, when he prepares the list of tasks for the day.
- Also include self-care habits on your daily list, such as meditating, going to the gym, and reading.
Cristina has worked on creating teasers to promote existing experiences, and on the Fibromyalgia and Soft Improve projects. In them he has collaborated in the development of scripts, both structurally and in the development of a pedagogically enriching experience for the user. He has helped us on various shoots and events.

According to Cristina’s words, working with us has been “It is a most enriching experience, in many aspects, and much more than I expected in the first instance. Immersium Studio is a very good company to learn to write different scripts, which provide academic and emotional value in equal parts.” She is happy with the support she received and claims to have felt listened to and validated.
The internship is proving useful not only in terms of learning the craft of a screenwriter, gaining experience and creating material that can later be used for a portfolio, but also in developing other fields within an audiovisual production.
According to Cristina’s words, she is learning:
- Everything necessary for a shoot to go well.
- The implications of a 360 recording.
- Management of clapperboard and control of shots.
- The value that emotions have in a pedagogical experience.
- Build plots in accordance with pedagogical objectives. Let the plot be written in the service of these objectives.
- To give my opinion with confidence and without fear of rejection.
Tom
Tom studied Film and Media at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, and is now undertaking the second and final year of a Master’s Degree in Screenwriting at the FX Animation 3D & Film School.

Tom has been able to combine studies and internship, in his words “It has been a question of balance, this experience has helped me prioritize and work in a managed manner. Studies improve internships and internships improve studies, as long as I dedicated the necessary time to each thing, the creativity of both was combined.”

Tom has worked making multiple teasers for Immersium’s immersive experiences and has completed three projects: An experience aimed at Fibromialgia patients and their families, an experience that shows the importance of Soft Skills for the website Soft Improve, and more recently an experience to improve teamwork.
Tom is very happy with the internship and says that it has helped him raise his work to a professional level.
