They recently published on their podcast the interview they did with our CEO, Luis Villarejo about Digital Disruptors – The challenge of educating the market about innovative solutions. You can listen to the full interview here.
In this interview we talked about immersive technologies and Virtual Reality, which is our specialty.
“We improve the training of people by exposing them with Virtual Reality glasses to different situations in which they must make decisions and based on those decisions, some things happen or others happen. These situations generate learning in people on different topics, such as soft skills, improved communication, improved empathy, improved leadership skills, conflict resolution, etc. “
“The content retention percentages that we work on in the experiences exceed up to four times the retention percentages with traditional learning experiences.”
The interviewer has also been interested in projects we have worked on.
“For the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, during the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a great lack of qualified personnel to work within European ICUs. This association generated a training program for health professionals, both doctors and nurses who did not have experience in ICUs to train them and who could lend a hand in the ICUs. It was a traditional training program, and as a complement they asked us for an immersive experience so that users could see themselves inside an ICU through Virtual Reality glasses, integrated into a team of health professionals to provide care to patients, one with severe covid and another with mild covid… The dynamic is that of making decisions, an alarm goes off on a respirator, what do you choose? between two or three available options, and we give you feedback on your choice… From these decisions we are structuring contents that have been given in a more theoretical way. The user has to put them into practice in the Virtual Reality experience. …and by making decisions he learns…”
“The vast majority of the projects we have done are in the health field, 70%. We have worked, for example, with the Pompeu Fabra University on a project in which we have generated resources to train nursing students in how to manage potential health situations in gender violence through Virtual Reality. We have worked on it in a class, classroom setting, in which all students see the Virtual Reality resource at the same time. They play a role within that Virtual Reality resource, they see a potential situation of gender violence… they take off the VR glasses, and they must discuss with the rest of their classmates what has happened, what decisions they would make, how they feel, and it is quite spectacular to see how we manage to generate emotions in the people who see the experiences… The students comment that they feel anger, helplessness, they discuss options among themselves… experiencing these feelings of hatred and anger motivates them to document themselves, to investigate, to learn so that when they face that situation in real life, do not find yourself without tools again, without knowing what to do… that is one of the greatest values that we contribute with VR. We expose you to a situation with a very high degree of realism, which motivates you to prepare better. “
