The Barcelona Deep Tech Summit is an annual event designed to uncover new opportunities for those working at the intersection of science, technology, and entrepreneurship. This event is part of the Smart City Expo World Congress, the world’s largest event focused on urban innovation.
Both events were held on November 4, 5 and 6, 2025 at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona.
The Barcelona Deep Tech Summit, organized by Barcelona Activa, brings together professionals, investors, startups, and academics in the field of advanced technology. This fourth edition attracted more than 2,500 attendees, 70 speakers, and 50 exhibiting startups, where complex problems in diverse fields such as biomedicine, quantum physics, new materials, energy transition, sustainable construction, and robotics, among others, were addressed.

The BDTS is organized by the Barcelona City Council through Barcelona Activa, together with five Catalan universities (UB, UAB, UPC, UPF and UOC) and with the institutional support of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.

We would like to thank the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya for the opportunity to have participated in this exhibition, as well as for giving us the opportunity to pitch in the Pitch Corner in front of potential clients and investors.
We are delighted with the positive reception our immersive experiences have received from attendees at this exhibition. Many were able to experience them firsthand and were amazed by their realism and the total immersion they provide when using virtual reality headsets. This immersive environment, with its realistic scenarios depicting real-life and professional situations, is particularly effective for soft skills learning, as it adds an emotional component that enhances content retention.
