At Immersium Studio we have participated in the MWC again for another year. The Mobile World Congress is an annual congress held at the Fira de Barcelona in Hospitalet de Llobregat (Fira Gran Via) and is considered the most important in the technology sector worldwide. This year it was held from February 26 to 29, 2024. This 18th edition has been the year of Artificial Intelligence, robotics and some of the best mobile phones on the market. It was attended by more than 101,000 attendees from 205 countries, 2,700 exhibitors and more than 2,600 journalists.
We have participated in the space dedicated to technological start-ups, 4YFN. 4 Years From Now is a space within the MWC itself dedicated exclusively to start-ups and entrepreneurs, where local and international start-ups meet to explore and find new business, investment/financing, collaboration or partnership opportunities.
Various media outlets echoed all the Catalan talent that was going to be at MWC 2024. Barcelona is the third most attractive European city for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
“In this sense, entities such as Barcelona Activa, Tech Barcelona or ACCIÓ will attend the fair accompanied by the best Catalan talent and show the world the potential of the startup ecosystem in Catalonia in areas such as digital health or deep tech.”
“Of the 360 Catalan companies, technology centers and entities that will attend the technological event, 69 will have a stand at the MWC and 291 at the 4YFN and, among the most notable Catalan initiatives are hello.app, Immersium Studio, Improfit.AI, Lead2Tem, Lawwwing or Feeder.”
This year we have participated with a delegation of Catalan companies led by ACCIÓ, the Agency for Business Competitiveness of the Generalitat of Catalonia. Immersium Studio has been one of those selected among a large number of Catalan companies that have submitted to this call. ACCIÓ’s Catalonia Stand has been a meeting point in the ecosystem with the participation of 37 emerging companies, of which we are a part.
Numerous companies, investors, and future clients have come to our stand interested in our immersive learning experiences, which we have been able to show them using state-of-the-art Virtual Reality glasses. They have been very surprised by the experiential nature of our experiences, since being recorded in a real environment, with actors, and not carried out in a digital environment, they are much more realistic.
Presentations
On February 21, 2024 we had the opportunity to participate in one of the first meetings of all the startups that participated in 4YFN with ACCIÓ. We had the opportunity to make a pitch to present our project to the Minister Roger Torrent i Ramió, the Secretary of Digital Policies Gina Tost i Faus, and the CEO of ACCIÓ, Albert Castellanos Maduell.
On February 27, we also had the opportunity to make a pitch at the 4YFN Pitching Point, together with all the companies that were at the Acció stand.
We are very happy to have been able to explain how at Immersium Studio we are changing the way we train people. Immersive learning through Virtual Reality is a very useful tool that applies new technologies for a sector that is constantly developing such as education. The feedback we have received has been very positive and we are sure that our participation in the Mobile World Congress has offered us many opportunities for visibility with new clients, new contacts and new collaborations.
