On April 22, 2026, the UOC Innovation Camp—promoted within the framework of the RIS3CAT 2030 Strategy—was held in Tortosa (Terres de l’Ebre), with the participation of ARCA, the Ateneu Cooperatiu de les Terres de l’Ebre, the Xarxa UOC, and the UOC OpenLab.
The “Innovation Field: Revitalization and Resilience in the Rural Areas of Terres de l’Ebre” drives a joint initiative to address a key challenge: how to revitalize and build resilience in the rural territories of Terres de l’Ebre.
Innovation fields are gathering spaces designed for sharing, listening, and co-creation. They are places where diverse individuals and organizations come together to better understand the challenges facing the region and to activate solutions with real impact. The innovation field aims to collectively identify and prioritize the key challenges and opportunities within the rural areas of Terres de l’Ebre, focusing on three key areas:
- The role of culture and contemporary artistic practices in the revitalization of the territory
- Access to decent housing and the right to live in rural environments
- New tourism models oriented towards more regenerative tourism
This initiative brings together stakeholders from various government bodies, local entities, companies, universities, and research centers, all united by the goal of forging connections, sharing knowledge, and creating new opportunities.
