Our VR experience in Online Educa Berlin 2022

Our VR experience “A Story of Transformational Change of Sustainable Development” will be presented by UNSSC in Online Educa Berlin 2022

Online Educa Berlin (OEB) 2022 is the 28th Annual Global, Cross-Sector Conference and Exhibition on Digital Learning and Training that will be held on November 23 – 25 in Berlin.

Participants from the higher education, workplace and government sectors since 1995 will be critically examining how technology opportunities and challenges are transforming the world of learning. Vibrant and thought-provoking conference and exhibition with keynote plenaries from world-class speakers, debates, panel discussions, and endless networking opportunities will provide the perfect environment to stimulate, explore and inform working practices to create a better digital learning world.

Paulyn Duman, from United Nations System Staff College, Germany, will present our VR experience “A Story of Transformational Change of Sustainable Development” on Friday, Nov 25, from 14:30 to 15:45, in the Presentation Panel “Seeing is Believing: 360 Degree Video and VR in Workplace Training”. This session will start with an overview on why and how XR technology is useful in training, and which are the usual hurdles and mistakes when implementing XR in the field of training. You will also find examples of immersive VR training, such as our immersive experience, both in the corporate and humanitarian sector, allowing see and hear how Virtual Reality can be a truly contextualised, collaborative and engaging tool to train employees.

“A Story of Transformational Change for Sustainable Development” is an interactive 360-degree immersive learning experience on a city undergoing transformative changes towards a more sustainable future. This immersive experience was developed by Immersium Studio in co-creation with UNSSC, and was especially designed to train political and technical United Nations member countries leaders. The experience consists of a visit to a city that has undergone an ecological transition in recent years. It is a city traditionally dependent on extractive coal mining activity, with all the social, political and economic implications that this entails. Public institutions have made great efforts to reformulate the city’s economic model and transform it into a city with a green, circular economy that respects sustainability three dimensions (economic, environmental and social).

In this video and this post you have more information about the VR experience “A Story of Transformational Change of Sustainable Development”.
