On May 5, 2025, the 1st UOC Investment Forum was held, an event that connected the entrepreneurial talent of the UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) community with investors willing to support high-impact projects. With this initiative, the UOC reaffirms its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer, providing growth opportunities for its projects.
This first forum offered an opportunity for entrepreneurial projects seeking to accelerate their entry into the market, as well as for investors interested in learning firsthand about UOC-branded projects with social impact.
At this event, we had the pleasure of attending the opening session led by Xavier Vilajosana, Vice-Rector for Research, Knowledge Transfer, and Entrepreneurship at the UOC; the closing remarks by Mireia Riera, Director of the Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Open Science Area; and the session moderation by Xavier Casares, founder of the first network of investors and business angels in Spain.
Our CEO, Lluís Villarejo, had the opportunity to present our innovative project, alongside other colleagues from the UOC such as Alex Rius from Levelab, Anna Domínguez from eTrivium, Eudald Mas from Kala Health, Cristina Grau from Twintual, and Eduard Teixidó from Opground.
