Type II Diabetes Project
24 de April de 2025
The Type II Diabetes project is a project we are developing for the University of Barcelona in which we are designing an immersive Virtual Reality experience focused on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with type II diabetes. This experience will allow participants to experience firsthand the daily lives of people with this disease in primary care centers. Students who view this experience will have to make decisions that will shape the course of the experience, allowing them to assess their actual knowledge regarding this chronic disease.

Immersive experience
In this project, we are working with various specialists in nursing, podiatry, dentistry, general medicine, and vascular surgery, who are contributing their expertise. In this instance, the University of Barcelona professors themselves will be filming the scenes depicting the treatment of type II diabetes within their respective specialties.
A patient will visit the various clinics for general medicine, nursing, podiatry, dentistry, and vascular surgery, allowing the user to experience firsthand and immersive the treatment of this disease, highlighting the specific characteristics of each specialty. This experience will enable students to gain a better understanding of the medical procedures performed in each specialty.
We are confident that this immersive experience will provide students at the University of Barcelona with enriching knowledge that will enhance their understanding of this disease and its treatment.
