At Immersium Studio we are pleased to have a new internship student, Greyson Simms. Greyson comes from Pennsylvania (United States) and is studying Finance at Susquehanna University. He will do internship with us from September to November, making his schedule compatible with the study about the gastronomy of the Mediterranean, the architecture of Barcelona, as well as a management class about leadership in a diverse world.
This intership has been possible thanks to our collaboration with Barcelona SAE. Greyson found out about Barcelona SAE from some alumni at Susquehanna who studied abroad at Barcelona SAE and spoke extremely highly of the program. We want to thank Barcelona SAE for the opportunity to have students do their internships at Immersium Studio, as it provides benefits for both parties. Students can put their knowledge into practice and we can contribute new ideas to our products, experiences and business processes.

Barcelona SAE is a boutique study abroad and internship program that provides personalized attention and focuses on this beautiful Mediterranean city that we call home. Their core values are the focus of their culture, their brand, and the overall student experience. Throughout their Cultural Mentor program, they have a wide variety of program options with flexibility to fit a schedule. Is Barcelona SAE they have created TODOS (The Outcomes-Based Diversity Outreach Strategy) aimed at removing the barriers keeping students and educational institutions of varied diverse economic, educational, ethnic and social backgrounds from studying abroad.
Internship
Greyson chose to intern at Immersium Studio because he felt that what the company was looking for fit extremely well with some of his previous experience. He thought he would be able to offer good insights and development of making an effective cost analysis of different projects at Immerium Studio. He also thought that it would be a good experience working with a company that helps with the development of soft skills in the workplace.

For Greyson, we have defined this objectives of a work plan:
- To conduct a thorough analysis of the costs and profitability of the company’s virtual reality projects.
- To perform a market study for the launch of a training service in soft skills through Virtual Reality
To carry out these objectives, we have designed a work plan that allows him to advance in a planned manner.
- Week 1: Immersiom and Knowledge. First week he needs to familiarize with the company, the office, the team, and also get an introduction of Virtual Reality, basic concepts, technologies and projects.
- Weeks 2 to 4: Data Collection. Identification of data sources, and gather additional information from project teams
- Weeks 5 to 8: Data Analysis: Consolidate information collected and calculations of direct and indirect costs
- Week 9 to 10: Preparation of Final Report: Define the key elements of the report using graphs and tables to present the results concisely, and prepare a presentation to present the main findings to the management team.
- Week 11 to 15: New product launch preparation: Familiarize with work already done, and plan next steps.
We are sure that Greyson‘s time with us will be very useful for both us and him, and we hope he enjoy his stay in Barcelona. Barcelona is a global benchmark in terms of emerging technologies and innovation, and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. At Immersium Studio he can expand his knowledge about Extended Reality since we are specialists in immersive learning through Virtual Reality, and we have also developed products in Augmented Reality. We will also be grateful for the new ideas that he can contribute not only in finances, but also in new ways to face the challenges that we find in our immersive path.
