During the conversation we explain how Immersium Studio borned introducing Immersive Technologies in the Universitat Oberta of Catalonia and how we have been growing up, mentioning our mission, vision and values and what projects are we immersed in.
Immersive learning is about creating experiences within multiple media using hybrid techniques and applying knowledge and expertise both in pedagogy and immersive technologies, so that a truly profitable synergie is generated. As a product of that sinergy, the effectivity of learning increases, because we generate experiences in which the learner is the protagonist of his/her own story. You as a learner become your own instructor. One of the greatest benefits of education through immersive technologies is the fact that, in these virtual environments, learner errors do not generate real negative externalities either in the environment or in third persons. Trial and error are part of the learning process, and with these technologies we can lose our fear of failure and get learn from our own mistakes, taking advantage of them.
That is one of the multiple advantages of Immersive Learning, you can listen to the entire podcast if you want to discover more. Don’t doubt to contact us if you have any questions or comments, we will be so pleasant to attend you. And remember… Experience the Immersion, discover broader realities!
