The Open University of Catalonia (UOC) celebrates every year the SpinUOC, a conference on entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer where eight projects of interest developed in the UOC community are presented.
This year the eleventh edition of SpinUOC 2023 was held on June 29 at the Old Damm factory in Barcelona. The entrepreneurs responsible for the projects had about five minutes to make their presentation in an innovative way for the audience.
Exhibition
This year the event has included, in the lobby of the venue, the Innovation Gallery, an exhibition of ten projects to artistically display entrepreneurial solutions and SpinUOC initiatives from the last decade. Immersium Studio has been selected as one of the ten projects that uses innovative solutions to improve e-learning. We use immersive learning to place the user in the center of the action and through their emotional reactions they can learn from different situations. Our immersive experiences are widely used in the field of health, since they allow experiential learning, which is very useful for professionals where dealing with the patient is very important from the outset. Being able to practice situations that will be experienced in professional life in a virtual way, allows you to gain confidence in situations in which the health professional will find yourself, in addition to increasing content retention, and reducing training time.
At Immersium Studio we are very happy to continue carrying out projects and participating in UOC events, since Immersium was born hand in hand with the UOC, and without them it would not have been possible.
