On June 9 and 10, 2022, Fundació Salut Empordà (FSE) organized the first Showroom TIC, an exhibition of new technologies in digital health that was held at Figueres Hospital (Girona). It had the participation of fifteen companies from Catalonia and the Basque Country, including Immersium Studio. In the Hospital’s assembly hall, the different participants had a small stand with the objective that the health professionals of the FSE and other health entities were aware of the latest developments in the market in the social field and digital health in order to be able to assess whether it is necessary to incorporate them into their workplace.
The initiative is one of the actions included in the section on digital training for health professionals, within the framework of FSE 2021-2025 Digital Transformation. In addition to the stands, during the two days the TIC Showroom also included online talks by the participants to explain their most innovative products. In the talk on Friday the 10th at 1:00 p.m., our CEO, Lluís Villarejo, explained to the attendees how more than 20,000 health professionals can be trained in the use of an ICU through Virtual Reality. This immersive experience that Immersium Studio developed for the European Community, allowed to improve the knowledge in intensive care of many health professionals in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. Some attendees were able to see first-hand what some of the experiences we have designed are like.

The Fundació Salut Empordà wants to turn this event into a meeting point between companies and professionals in the health sector. Although this is an activity aimed at workers at the Foundation’s centers, they have also assisted other health entities.

The Foundation has also launched the INNPULSA project, which consists of a web page creation that will bear the same name and that will bring together the actions carried out by the FSE related to Digital Transformation and Technological Innovation, such as this Showroom TIC. It will also be a portal in which news in this field will be reported at a national and international level.
INNPULSA is an initiative that is also part of the entity’s 2021-2025 Digital Transformation Plan and seeks to facilitate and promote technological innovation with the talent of FSE professionals, promoting knowledge.
