Barcelona Deep Tech Node is an alliance between Barcelona Activa, UB, UAB, UPC, UPF, and UOC created to support deep tech startups and spin-offs by facilitating their market access. Its mission is to position Barcelona as a leading city in the field of scientific and technological entrepreneurship. They offer services to startups and spin-offs linked to advanced materials, artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics, photonics, electronics, quantum computing, biotechnology, and space technologies. Their objective is to facilitate access to financing, shorten market entry times, complement entrepreneurial teams with business profiles, and generate meeting points within the ecosystem to identify business opportunities.
Last February, they launched a call for applications for a six-month mentor. At Immersium Studio, we applied for this opportunity and are delighted to have won. The mentor is expected to have extensive experience launching deep tech startups and will complement our CEO. This mentor will primarily contribute to the following roles:
- Product development, regulatory roadmap definition, certifications
- Preparation of the financing round, negotiation with investors, close to public funding
- Business development, definition of the gotoMarket Strategy, implementation of the commercial plan
- Define and analyze the operations structure, identify areas for improvement, establish new processes
We’ve already enjoyed the first meetings to present the program and met the experts who will complement our entrepreneurial team.
