Art and Virtual Reality Project – Virtual Reality for the generation of immersive learning situations in art and creativity (ArtEdu)

The ArtEdu project is one of the three projects of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) that have been selected by the Department of Education of the Generalitat of Catalonia to receive European Next Generation funds. This project is a digital innovation initiative to accompany educational centers and teachers in the design, development and evaluation of interdisciplinary immersive projects.

This project has promoted collaboration between educational centers, cultural institutions, developers of immersive technology and research, through the consolidated research group of the UOC Edul@b, to bring knowledge beyond school by carrying out applied research in the educational field. The innovation of this project has lied in becoming familiar with new technological trends by teachers and students, which had been evident in the prototypes of the immersive projects and which would remain in the centers and would serve as a driving force for future developments. From Immersium Studio we have teached the application of immersive technologies in the affiliated educational centers and we have accompanyied them in the development of their immersive project prototypes.
