At the Barcelona Science Museum, we can see the permanent exhibition of the Triceratops, in which using a QR code and Augmented Reality we can see what it was like in its natural habitat.

In May 2023, we announced that we had surpassed 50,000 visits, and two years later, we’ve managed to double that number.

We’ve surpassed 100,000 visits!

This experience, designed by us, is part of the permanent exhibition “The Strip of Life,” which offers a journey through our history through fossils. The centerpiece of this exhibition is the Triceratops skull, one of the largest and most pristine ever found in the world. The Triceratops is considered the largest living creature to have ever walked the earth. It was discovered in North Dakota in the late 1990s and can currently be visited at CosmoCaixa. Using Augmented Reality, we can see what it looked like in its natural habitat, using a QR code that we can scan with our mobile phone or tablet.

We’re delighted that this Augmented Reality experience continues to be of great interest to CosmoCaixa visitors and continues to spark curiosity about what animals that disappeared from Earth millions of years ago were like.
