Immersium collaborates in DWBL project
9 de January de 2023
The Deal with Digital Work-Based Learning (DWBL) project is an Erasmus+ project of the European Community that aims to improve and make work-based learning experiences more accessible through digital tools. This international project is made up of eight partners from different European countries, including companies, vocational training centers and universities, including the UOC. The three-year initiative will culminate in a good practice guide and the design of an innovative online course to help VET educators using more effective pedagogical approaches and designing VET learning experiences.

This project is made up of 5 WPs (Work Package), which include guides, training and tools to acquire digital skills. They call it Digital WBL “digital support, creation and/or improvement of practical experiences in a professional context for the development of knowledge and skills, as well as theory and practice integration”
From Immersium Studio, we are going to collaborate with the WP2 the “Digital Competences model”. Part of this WP will be to have two training sessions, exchange of experiences and formulation of the competencies that teachers have to achieve. Our CEO, Luis Villarejo will do a first part of training in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, where we will explain some real experience, like the ones we use to train health professionals in an ICU through VR or where we teach different professionals in giving bad news during organ and tissue donation process. The second part will be dedicated to talking about competencies. All sessions will be recorded.
The Ambassadors Program is the way they use to generate some of the content about the training needs of VET teachers. It is a small community where you can hold (digital) meetings and workshops to exchange good practices, learn from each other, receive information on relevant topics, and discuss the competency needs for a successful digital WBL.
The digital transformation is reshaping society, the labor market and the future of the economy, so we are very happy to be able to participate in projects like this, which help to strengthen an increasingly digital professional world. The specific skills in digital environment that the trainers involved in this project will acquire, will help many young people to improve their skills and knowledge to move better in this new digital world.
