The Virtual Reality Escape Room Project is an initiative we are carrying out on behalf of the Vall\u00e8s Occidental County Council<\/a><\/strong>. We are developing an escape room to promote industrial career paths in Vall\u00e8s Occidental, placing special emphasis on a gender perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This experience provided through Virtual Reality glasses will be part of the “Upskilling per l’ocupaci\u00f3<\/strong>” project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Escape Room will consist of five experiences <\/strong>taking place at five distinct locations, involving the resolution of themes related to the current industry<\/strong> in a realistic, engaging, and stimulating way. At one of these companies, we will include a real interview with a woman working in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Vall\u00e8s Occidental, the most important industrial subsectors are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Manufacture of fabricated metal products<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Manufacture of machinery <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Chemical industries<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Manufacture of pharmaceutical products<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Manufacture of rubber and plastic products <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Food product industries


Real-world scenarios involving companies from these subsectors will be presented, each featuring a challenge <\/strong>to be solved by applying general professional knowledge regarding industrial employment\u2014such as digitalization, sustainability, equality, and internationalization. The final experience will put into practice cross-cutting skills valued in the industry, such as analytical ability, flexibility, and conflict resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developing an escape room script\u2014while also incorporating some technical enigma<\/strong> for the user to solve\u2014has been a challenge for us. This Virtual Reality experience will be highly useful in showcasing the opportunities available at companies in Vall\u00e8s Occidental<\/strong>, a region home to many international industrial firms that require technical personnel<\/strong>. The project also addresses the gender perspective<\/strong>, demonstrating that women can work in the industry just as men do and challenging prejudices regarding the types of work performed based on an employee’s gender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
