In this project we are developing an immersive experience<\/strong> for Uni\u00f3 Consorci Formaci\u00f3<\/a><\/strong> where we will explain how clear communication<\/strong> is essential in the care and guidance of patients, especially those with visual and cognitive disabilities<\/strong>. This experience seeks to raise awareness among health and social care professionals<\/strong> about these barriers by providing firsthand insight into the challenges these patients experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The objectives<\/strong> of the experience will include accessible communication<\/strong> that promotes inclusive care<\/strong>, identifying good and bad practices, and raising awareness about situations that users may encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immersive experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the immersive experience<\/strong> we’ve developed, we have two perspectives<\/strong>: first, that of the patient<\/strong>, who will have various sensory and cognitive limitations<\/strong> and will encounter various obstacles in signage, verbal communication, and written materials. The user will also put themselves in the shoes of a professional<\/strong> who must address the problems<\/strong> posed by a person with a disability and the decisions they must make to improve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experience will be part of an eight-session in-person training<\/strong> program consisting of a theoretical and practical component. Session 6, dedicated to accessibility<\/strong>, will explain everything that must be taken into account to provide accessible communication, and participants will be able to experience firsthand what a patient and healthcare professional feel when they encounter difficulties or people who suffer from them. This experience is primarily intended for primary care healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, orderlies, healthcare administrators, technicians, etc., who deal with all types of patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are confident that this experience will be very useful in understanding how accessibility affects patients <\/strong>and will allow users to understand how patients feel when faced with communication problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
