{"id":3116,"date":"2023-01-16T12:18:11","date_gmt":"2023-01-16T10:18:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/immersiumstudio.com\/projects\/implementacio-del-projecte-de-violencies-masclistes\/"},"modified":"2023-08-01T12:04:30","modified_gmt":"2023-08-01T10:04:30","slug":"implementacio-del-projecte-de-violencies-masclistes","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/immersiumstudio.com\/en\/projects\/implementacio-del-projecte-de-violencies-masclistes\/","title":{"rendered":"Implementation of Gender-based violence Project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Virtual Reality experiences implementation of the project Approaching gender-based violence in health sciences degrees<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The project <strong>Approaching gender-based violence in degrees of health sciences: PBL and Virtual Reality<\/strong>, is a project that began in 2020 with the aim of creating educational resources with the PBL (Project-Based Learning) methodology to work on the approach to <strong>gender-based violence<\/strong> for <strong>health sciences degrees students<\/strong>, especially for the degrees of medicine, nursing, nutrition, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. The aim is to train health science students to identify situations of gender-based violence with an intersectional and sensitive look at different types of violence (physical, psychological, economic, sexual) so that they know the intervention circuit beyond health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some PBL scenarios have been designed with the corresponding didactic guides of which we have developed a part in <strong>Virtual Reality<\/strong>. The incorporation of <strong>immersive training experiences<\/strong> reinforces the <strong>experiential nature<\/strong> of the experience, since using Virtual Reality glasses, the student is in the middle of a relevant scenario for their learning, such as a primary care centers. Students will receive certain information before facing these immersive situations that will place them in the action. Afterwards, they will have to think about the emotions they have felt, and share them among the different students. In the sessions, the scenarios displayed in <strong>Virtual Reality<\/strong> made the students ask themselves several questions and <strong>different emotions<\/strong> arose from what they had felt in each situation. The<strong> feedback<\/strong> from the students was <strong>very positive<\/strong>, since the immersion is total and you really feel inside the scene you are experiencing, so the emotions come out naturally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the <strong>2022-2023 academic year,<\/strong> these resources will begin to be implemented to address <strong>gender-based violence <\/strong>on a recurring basis between different degrees in the health field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:124px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We are very happy to be able to participate in projects like these where <strong>training experiences in Virtual Reality<\/strong> that we have created together with various institutions can be <strong>useful for the population<\/strong>, as it is a case as important and rigorously topical as the <strong>detection of gender-based violence<\/strong>.
