Mobile World Congress is the most important annual event in the global technology sector. This year, it took place from March 2 to 5, 2026, at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona (specifically in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat). This 20th edition was defined by the major revolution driven by Artificial Intelligence over the past year. The event was themed “The IQ Era,” with artificial intelligence serving as the central thread connecting presentations, keynotes, and exhibition stands. Approximately 105,000 professionals attended, featuring 2,900 exhibitors, 1,700 speakers, and representation from 207 countries.

At Immersium Studio, we had the pleasure of once again participating in the 4YFN event, the space dedicated to startups and entrepreneurs. We hosted a booth in the Open University of Catalonia area—an institution of which we have been a spin-off since 2018—alongside 16 other startups: Accessibles, Aimentia Health Tech, All-Voiced, Authory, Kala Health Menopause, PANSSARI, Planeta Space Group, AlfaSAAC, Eduranti, Levelab Technologies, SeniorDomo, SmartSim Academy, Twintual, and XR Xperiences.

We had the pleasure of welcoming UOC Rector Àngels Fitó Bertran and Xavier Vilajosana, UOC Vice-Rector for Research, Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship. Àngels Fitó experienced our applications using state-of-the-art VR headsets and was delighted by the realism and immersion they provide.

Numerous companies, investors, and prospective clients have visited our booth to learn more about our immersive learning experiences. They were particularly struck by the experiential nature of our offerings; because they are filmed in real-world settings with actors—rather than created in a digital environment—they are far more realistic.

Immersive learning via Virtual Reality is a highly useful tool that applies new technologies to the constantly evolving education sector. The feedback we have received has been very positive, and we are confident that our participation in the Mobile World Congress will provide us with significant opportunities for visibility among new clients, contacts, and collaborators.
