Digital Work Based Learning<\/a><\/strong> is a project aimed at developing an innovative methodological<\/strong> approach using virtual reality<\/strong>, going beyond current training standards in e-learning methods.<\/strong> The project seeks to guide trainers and vocational education and training (VET)<\/strong> institutions in integrating a digital work-based learning (WBL) pathway to enhance the training experience and create new business opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final event <\/strong>of the Digital WBL project<\/strong>, titled \u201cTackling Future Challenges in Digital Skills for VET Trainers\u201d<\/strong> took place on February 24, 2025, at the Open University of Catalonia.<\/strong> This event, organized by Edul@ab<\/strong><\/a>, served as a platform for reflecting on and consolidating achievements in improving the digital skills of VET trainers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, the project\u2019s results were highlighted, leading to a forward-looking discussion on how to sustain and expand these outcomes to meet the evolving demands of the European digital landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several key resources were presented, including Guidelines for Designing Digital WBL & Remote Experiential Activity<\/strong>, The VET Practice Evaluation Tool<\/strong> (VPET), designed to identify areas for developing best practices in digital WBL, The Blueprint for VET Trainers\u2019 Development of Digital Competence<\/strong>, The Emerging Digital Skills Model for VET<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Towards the end of the event, Laura Eigbrecht<\/strong> (Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University) moderated an open session<\/strong> for all participants. The panel featured experts such as Elena Sen\u00eds<\/strong> (Institute Hospital del Mar) and Luis Villarejo (<\/strong>Immersium Studio), who provided valuable insights into the future of VET<\/strong> and strategies for its advancement. The discussion focused on policy recommendations, strengthening partnerships between industry, academia, and VET institutions<\/strong>, and improving trainers’ skills to address emerging digital skill<\/strong> needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
