On Tuesday, June 25, 2024 (9:30 a.m.), the Closing Day<\/a><\/strong> of the project “Immersive Learning Situations: A Critical Look at the Environment” was held in the Auditorium of the Joan Mir\u00f3 Foundation<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The objective of this project has been to contribute to the digital transformation <\/strong>of educational centers<\/strong> through support in the design, development and evaluation of interdisciplinary immersive projects. Different entities have collaborated in this project, such as educational centers<\/strong> (IES Castellet, Escola Joan Mir\u00f3, Instituto Escola Eixample, IES Llu\u00eds Vives, Escola Ginebron), relevant foundations<\/strong> in art field and culture (Fundaci\u00f3n Joan Mir\u00f3<\/a>, Fundaci\u00f3n Mies van der Rohe<\/a> ), a cultural association<\/strong> promoted by architects (Globus Vermell<\/a>), the UOC ICT Education Research Group<\/strong>, Edul@ab<\/a><\/strong>, and us, Immersium Studio<\/strong>, as a startup specialized in the application of Virtual Reality technologies<\/strong>. We have advised on the entire process of generating immersive experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the day we discovered this digital transformation proposal <\/strong>thanks to the experience of centers participating in the project such as IE Eixample (Barcelona), Escuela Ginebro (Llinars del Vall\u00e8s), IES Llu\u00eds Vives (Barcelona) and IES Castellet (Sant Vicen\u00e7 de Castellet ). To develop the immersive projects, each school has received digital material, training for its use and support for the generation of 360 immersive tours that, ultimately, will be integrated into a digital repository shared with all centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workday<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This day began with an institutional welcome <\/strong>(Mir\u00f3 Foundation, Research and Digital Culture, Community and Culture of the UOC), followed by the project presentation<\/strong> (Edul@b Research Group). Afterwards, a round table<\/strong> was held, where our CEO Luis Villarejo<\/strong> participated, along with other project collaborators, such as Silvia Mart\u00ednez<\/strong> from Globus Vermell, Anna Ramos<\/strong> from the Mies van der Rohe Foundation and Merc\u00e8 Jarque<\/strong> from the Joan Mir\u00f3 Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
