StoryTIC<\/strong> is a narrative intervention program to work on the oral narrative skills of preschool children<\/strong> (3 to 6 years).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Immersium Studio we are creating a web page<\/strong> to transform this intervention program<\/strong> into a digital format<\/strong> with more interactive elements such as Augmented Reality<\/strong>. The intervention program consists of 3 video stories<\/strong>, which we have recorded with our storyteller<\/strong>, who has extensive experience in children’s narrative and gestures. These stories are worked on over 9 sessions and contain a didactic sequence to work on narrative and socio-communicative skills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have also recorded several videos with the project specialists<\/strong> where they explain in detail what multimodality<\/strong> consists of (enhancing oral discourse with the body), verbal support<\/strong> (which helps us structure the narrative discourse through various icons such as the protagonist, the problem, the attempted solution, the solution, the end, and the emotions) and gestures<\/strong> (various gestures that can be used to enhance oral and corporal communication).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are very happy to be able to participate in projects like this where technology <\/strong>makes it possible to improve aspects that are so important to children’s lives, such as narrative, oral and physical skills<\/strong>. The use of stories<\/strong> explained through a storyteller<\/strong> is a very good tool to approach children in a playful way <\/strong>to help them improve their skills. Being able to have a web page<\/strong> where you can access all the content for free<\/strong> is surely very interesting for many schools that can use these intervention programs in their classes<\/strong>. The interaction through Augmented Reality<\/strong> will also boost their interest in this activity that will surely be very useful for many children and teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
